Image Play Lab
See how computers see
Image Play Lab is a free, interactive lab for learning image processing: zoom into a photo until it turns into numbers, then change those numbers with real algorithms and watch the picture change.
Why it exists
Image processing is easy to read about and hard to understand. A Gaussian blur formula on a slide is abstract, and the gap between the math and what it actually does to a picture is where most people get stuck.
Who it’s for
Students, teachers, and anyone curious about how computers see, from a first look at pixels to a full image processing course.
How we’re approaching it
Pair every idea with its math and hand over the controls. Every algorithm is written by hand in TypeScript and runs right in the browser, so you can drag a slider, watch detail dissolve, and see why.
